Yoga for Teens
Being a teenager is hard work. There is an overload of expectations from school, parents and friends (maybe even from yourself?), which add more pressure onto shoulders already hunched over a mountain of homework. Trying to fit in school sports, practicing musical instruments and a social life. While still trying to deal with all the stuff that’s happening in your body and brain as you grow.

At a yoga class, you get a small time out, all to yourself. Through the physical practice of the yoga poses, you’ll learn tools and ways to deal with it, with life. Learn how to stay cool, calm and collected. Yoga can even help to improve your concentration, creativity and confidence, as well as making you stronger, more flexible and feel healthy, inside and out.

The class will include fun, dynamic postures to improve strength, flexibility and posture, as well as nurturing, relaxing ones to bring it all together. We will also explore meditation, helpful for relaxation and improving focus.

Come along, Thursdays 4-5pm at the St Andrew’s Uniting Church hall in Black Rock.
10 week course commencing Thursday, April 25.
Investment of $120 for the full term.
The course will be taught by Sidsel Henriksen, contact details: sidsel_h@hotmail.com or 0412 889 525.

No prior yoga experience is required, all you’ll need is a water bottle and perhaps a small towel. Wear clothing that will allow you to move and not get in your way when you need to grip the mat or turn upside down.  Minimum of 6 students needed for the course to go ahead, bookings close April 23, so please spread the word to friends.

In Yoga, it is about the journey, there is no final destination. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
Warm regards,
Sidsel
